Do you know of anybody in SA who sells Rock Sliders, Tree Sliders or any other underbody protection for the Disco3/4?

Hi Bodsy.

That's what I'm talking about. I like this, I would think steel would be better though...

Now let's see how many guys would be interested in this maybe we can do a bulk order...

Agree, steel is far to heavy, even if fairly thin. Most companies opt for Ally Thumbs Up

Hi guys.

I agree, steel will be much heavier...I'm just concerned with the Aluminium, as its softer material it'll scratch much quicker and perhaps deeper as well.

I've had some dealings with thebigone before...I need to see if there is more interest locally before I approach him again.

You will find that they will use a 5000 series ali, as it is a
structual grade, like a 5356 used on the ali cement tankers.

AFAIK the FrontRunner tank guard is only for their long range tank (but I may be wrong)

I am cautiously interested myself - up till now only ever had the front bash plate, but on closer inpection under the vehicle, it has taken a few heavy knocks over the years.

What are the other areas that need protection?
Rear diff, fuel tank maybe. Does anyone have a comprehensive list. Uncle Ray?

IMHO the underside is more than sufficiently protected for normal off road use. Why make a heavy car even heavier

and with a lift kit installed the ground clearance is increased so no need for extra protection.

FrontRunner

Yes Its only for the long range tank I did a quite serious track the otherday and dented the tank. I would like to fit a guard to it quite scared of ripping through the tank.
