Hi
I am about to purchase a 2006 D3 automatic diesel which does not come with a sat nav.
I would like something in the car in case I get lost so not sure if I should get a tom tom or use the Iphone 3.
The car has something called ALPINE already installed and the Personal Telephone kit - Not sure what they are really.
I would like a holder for the iphone so that I can listen to my MP3 music and use it if there is a good app for a sat nav - Not sure how all this will connect to the radio and speakers and I know nothing about this so will probably end up taking it to a garage.
Anyone heard of ALPINE or what it is ?

Hi
Alpine make car audio/multimedia units etc,your car may have one as an after market unit!
As for sat nav, there are a few on app store for iphone,i personally use TomTom which is good but a bit battery intense

Look up NAVfree on the apple app store, may not be as good as tom-tom, but is a FREE  turn for turn and worth a bash I'm trying it now seems very good 110 XS Utility
