Playing with AutoLogic

Ever wish you hadnt started something???
Not wishing to upset any of the site supporters or anything, but I was able to have play with Autologic today on my 05 SE. 26 Faults logged on the system Sad . Cleared all these and was just left with B1B02 - 28 and B1C57-14 both from the BCM not sure how significant they are ( Starts and Runs no probs with no fault shown on dash)

But (as always!!) I activated a couple of options that I considered "safe" , follow me home reverse lights and 3 flash indicators and 3 questions now arise.
1) How do you now get the follow home reverse light function to work?
2) Still dont have 3 flash indicators!
2) Once you have activated the functions in the "vehicle Configuration" section do you now have to copy the info to the 3 modules that it gives you IPC, PCM and one other that I have forgotton? I didnt do this because of screen warning that old data will be over writtern and not being 100% sure pressed back - back - back!!!!

Once I had done this it stores the new options to the modules and goes through its auto vehicle shutdown sequence all fine but It then lost HDC and Terrain response programs. Clearing the faults again didnt bring it back and the only way we got them back was to clear the faults again with a Snap On Modis. Big Cry
As I say Im no expert with D3 diagnostics ( mastered the 'ol td5 though!)
Would anyone care to share the knowledge as to the correct sequence i should have used? or is a case of RTFM!!! Laughing

I've never used Autologic, but I can tell you a bit about the first two questions:

1. Once reverse follow-me-home lights have been activated, they can be used (assuming you have the keyfob 3rd button programmed to activate the lights), by pressing the LR logo (i.e. 3rd button) a second time.

The first button press turns on the front lights, the second turns on the reverse lights, and the third press turns them all off.

2. Although the 3 flash indicator is shown in the CCF of all D3s, the software to allow it to function was only available from MY07. In order to get earlier models to work, you would need to update the BCU software to a MY07 version, otherwise it will not work.

I thought that Autologic made it impossible to incorrectly configure something and cause these types of errors? Question

Anyway, hope this helps Thumbs Up

its when you just touch the indicator stalk in the direction you want, but not actually click it into place - you then get three flashes - useful when just changing lanes. Thumbs Up

Ah Ha...... This is what I would like to know. Do I have to copy the current software from the module to the Autologic then apply to them for the upgrade to be released? Confused

I have been able to enable three flash on 06MY onwards, but 05MY I have had some not work.
With IDS or similar update the BCM to latest spec, then enable in CCF......as wiggs says Wink

Regards
Steve
