wiring scheme /wire colors of towbar 13pins socket

Netherlands 2005 Discovery 3 4.4 V8 HSE Auto Java BlackDiscovery 3
wiring scheme /wire colors of towbar 13pins socket

Bought a wiring harnas for a 13pins connector for a donor D3

Only the seller could not loosen the 3 bolts holding the 13 pins socket.
So he cut off the cable. Big Cry

So i ended up with a complete harnas.
Only missing the socket.

A new socket is not the problem.

Is there a wiring scheme for the 13pin socket ?
Or is it just a case of following the wire and measuring to figure this out ?

The wiring diagram I have from the D3 /LR3 is only showing the 7 pins socket connections.


But I am sure with all this help we will manage !!

So the wire colours are basically the standard wire colours for trailer sockets.

The plain wire colours goto the Normal black socket (rear lights)
The wires with stripes are for the Supplementary/caravan white/grey socket.

THerefore

Red/white = Ignition supply Pin 10
Yellow/brown = Reversing lights Pin 8
Blue/pink = Battery supply Pin 9

We only use 1 socket
black 13 pins


I removed the black sealing arround the wires for a view centimeters

The 3 white wires are numbered

So i think all colors are clear now !

Confusion could be caused by LR's use of RED+WHITE for 12V ignition where the "standard" is WHITE+RED for a ground Rolling Eyes 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

well they used colours more appropriate for two 7 pin plugs.
