Audio levels D3

Apologies everyone if this issue has been raised elsewhere, but I could not find a direct reference.

I was wondering if there is some trick to avoiding the significant drop in audio level (radio/CD) if the engine is not running. I understand that it enters a 'power saving mode' but this feature is driving me nuts as you really struggle to hear the output of the sound system from outside the vehicle if engine is off.

Any comments/advice is appreciated.

Let me get this right. Your volume decreases when you turn your ignition off?
If this is right then I suggest there is a problem with your stereo. My volume stays pretty much the same...
What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

We're the same in the UK. Turn off the engine and the radio goes into "Low Power Mode".

You can get somewhere about to 18 on the volume, then a message comes up on the display, and i believe this is the norm over the range.

Correct Alan, when the engine is turned off, and you leave keys in accessory position, highest audio level you can go to is around 18, then message re 'low power mode' comes on. You cant hear the audio outside of the car!!!!!!

Surely someone else has noticed this with late model Oz delivered D3's.

That's why I have a dual battery, no point being able to have the Harmon Kardon playing at 200 decibels while driving then when you stop and are outside the car, you are limited to 20 db's! Banging Head Smile

Are you aware of any override or simple bypass Dunc re this issue, or am I stuck to subdued levels of audio without running the engine?

Whilst we're talkng about audio levels.

Does anyone know if the D3 amp has a "Gain" on it to up the output, as i feel the sound could be doing with some more volume. Whistle
