Lost a key recently , oldtimers disease iis my excuse.Where I be able to buy one besides the dealer,has anyone done so.

Don't think you have many options.
If a key has already been programed is cannot be programed again to your car.

check your insurance policy to see if it's covered! What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!
