D3's are they worth it? - about to buy a 4x4 - help PART 2
Well, it happened.
Picked up the D3 yesterday (a day early ).
My God ithe D3 is W I D E.
Gonna take a bit of getting used to when manouvering in traffic.
I have been driving around with the cheesest grin you can imagiane.
I love the auto box and the air susp is fantastic. All cars should be made like this.
One question - am I right in thinking that the lock key for the removable tow hitch stays in the ball / hitch when it is removed from the back of the D3?
Thanks to all the comments and advice on the original post.
Z Silver is the colour I got and it looks well in it.

Congratulations and enjoy 8) Yes the key does stay in the hitch when off the car. It is a wide car, but the command driving position helps you to judge it perfectly.

It certainly does seem wide at first. I used to have D2 before, and when I moved to the D3 I initially found it seemed quite a lot wider than it actually was, but soon got used to it.
Hope it goes well for you DC. IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Its wide, but I think it feels wider that it actually is by virtue of the fact that the bonet and car doesnt slope/curve away at the sides.
I drove a number of 4x4s before choosing the D3 and of all of them the D3 is easier to manover and judge the width because of this.2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver
