D4 HSE 11MY arrival
I picked up my new HSE (with a few extras) on Wednesday, nearly 4 months after ordering! The first 2011 model year my dealer has supplied. Really pleased with it, and managed to sell my D3 for a good price just two days later! More Pics in gallery.

gotta love the black/alpaca combo... did you get the piano gloss black dash too? (If so VERY envious)

Thanks for the comments guys.
The piano black is to the door inserts and the centre console, but not the dash itself. Sets off the Almond interior very nicely IMO.
heading off to the Lake District this weekend, which will be the first long(ish) trip.

V nice & a bit jealous! I prefer the light interior colours too, but am I right in thinking that if you have the Almond interior, then the panels and cover in the boot of a D4 are Almond too? Seems nuts to me - surely it'll get grubby really quickly?Andrew

I like the light interior colours as well. However, my last car had Pearl Silver (which is magnolia to everyone else) and whilst it looked great new, it did require a lot of frequent cleaning. I went with black interior (with walnut as black on black didnt do it for me) mainly because of my experience of the last car.
The other thing is that I personally feel light colours make the car feel bigger and more airy. So, a small car can really benefit from light colours. However, it also makes it feel less snug compared to black.
The light interior will always go well with black exterior though.

Just be careful with those 20's and in particular avoid this stone at the side of Stang End Lane
Or this double trouble could happen !

Andrew, It is true that the panels in the rear are Almond rather than black, and to be honest, when I first realised that was so, it put me off of the idea, but considering that the only other option is Ebony, I decided to go for it anyway. Now that I have, I am really pleased with the choice, and judging by other comments on here, it seems that it doesent show dirt as much as you might imagine. I really like the contrast between Almond, Arabica, Nutmeg and the various areas of black trim, which to my mind is much more appealing than Ebony throughout.
I'm sure others are equally enthusiastic about black, but I'm happy with my choice.
Smarticus, I managed to miss that rock at the weekend, but I'll watch out for others like it! Thanks.
