| 2005 HSE Rear Door Audio Failure |

My kids have often used the rear door 3.5mm audio connections when on a long journey. Recently, only the right rear door point works, leaving the other three producing only a ticking type of noise. The volume controls are still working and so is the window control. I've tried a spare under-seat amplifier module as I can see this is the responsible unit from the wiring diagram.
Is there a commonly known point of wire chaffing somewhere? No internal or external repairs or damage in the time I have owned.
All help appreciated.
