Stop light problem

The nearside stop light on my D3 is dimmer than the offside, Ive tried a new bulb and even an uprated one but its still dimmer.
Im guessing that theres a bad connection or contact somewhere,
Can anyone point me in the right direction to start looking.
I started off with nothing and Ive still got most of it left.

Try gently bending "outwards" the contacts in the centre so it makes better contact with the bulb, also check the plug and earth connections are secure.

try renewing both rear stop lights at same time. The resistance of new and old are different and so one will be brighter than the other.
 Near enough 40 degrees South!!!
