Daytime Running Lights

My understanding is that vehicles supplied after feb 2011 will have to have these fitted as part of an EEC directive

anyone know if Land Rover are complying and if so how ? Illegitimi Non Carborundum

My understanding is that if the vehicle model was introduced before Feb 11 then it doesn't have to have them fitted, even on vehicles manufactured after that date, but any model launched after that date does (ie Disco 5 etc) Previously:
2005 D3 2.7 TDV6 S
1984 90 2.25 Petrol CSW
1992 90 200TDi Hard Top
1995 Discovery ES 300TDi
2003 90 TD5 Truck Cab

I also thought it was Feb 2011. Took delivery of my new D4 on March 1st, daytime running lamps weren't enabled and I was told it'd been put off until next year. Quite glad really, I'm all for personal choice.

My D4 is 6 months old and has them.

They are a dealer switch on/off option, which effectively puts the headlamps on all the time.
