Please can someone tell me the best way to get at the starter motor terminals and the alternator terminals on a 55 reg Disco 3 SE . Thanks Jonathan

Open Bonnet
Remove engine cover
Remove Fan shroud
Remove air intake pipe
Remove viscous fan
That's about it really! 2014 D4 XS

I think the starter motor is a B  r to remove from what i remember the garage telling me when mine was changed a few years ago.. Duncan

Hi
Does any one know what mileage their alternator brushes lasted -
I know its a replacement with a re condition unit, is the best option when the time comes - but how long do they last.
I have a feeling its about 120,000 miles.

My alternator has managed a measly 39000 miles and failed. It's just 4 years old. Am I likely to have any support from LR in contributing just one year out of warranty? The Stealer wants £220 to fit a recon replacement. D3 HSE, Stornoway grey, 2007 MY, side steps, privacy glass, door protection strips.
