Ok - i haven't picked up my 07 HSE D3 yet as it is being prepped by the dealer. Before I collect it are there any specific items i should get them to check.
I was thinking of things like:
Known issues, factory recals, software updates (version numbers if possible) etc.
Any advice?
Thanks
Mark

If your getting it from an LR dealer all should have been done and easy for them to demonstrate it. Not really much you can check on forecourt. Get them to demonstrate raising suspension and putting it into low range as you will probably need that sooner rather than later. Also get them to talk you through the traction control settings.
Possibly also have Land Rover Assistance number to hand......just in case
Enjoy it in this weather....you made the right choice

It is coming from Stratstone, so i will get them to show me all the bits before I leave. Replacing a BMW 530D M Sport so going to have to get used to the change but not going to miss digging the thing out of every car park with snow in.

A major plus point in this weather. Nice and gentle throttle and you'll get where you need to be unless there are BM's blocking the road
Enjoy

I missed a faulty fuel filler door when collecting mine from a dealer. Fixed foc but was more annoyed at the inconvenience and myself as I thought I'd checked everything!

Might be worth checking the tyres are the correct size and rating if the vehicle doesn't have genuine Discovery 3 wheels fitted?
Mine came from Stratstone with RRS 20" wheels but the wrong tyres... very expensive mistake - dealer offered to change them, but only if I paid!

Hopefully the tyres will be the correct ones - looked brand new as they still had the green lines on them - pirelli if I remember. Was actually one of the things i looked at as i had considered a Q7 (it is going to be the better half's car after all) but was out off by the tyre nightmares they have.

BanditKD welcome to the madhouse, no particular order here and I am no expert but here is a list of things I wish I had remembered to ask the dealer and a couple I did, not rocket science but I was a bit Christmassy on the day
I managed to get some side steps out of them as a last gesture...........wouldn't fill the tank though tight gits.
Ask for mats rubber are good and tough.
Check the service counter is reset, assuming its been serviced.
Test sunroof and all electric windows, get them to show you how to open the fuel flap.
Check that they havent just replaced pads on worn discs.
Check windscreen carefully.
Check spare is a match for your current tyres.
Check luggage cover is intact (spring release is flaky)
Take it for a spin and check the steering and the handbrake, mine way out of alignment.
Its a great toy in all weather but especially this time of year

thanks for the tip.
Have already took it for a spin and noticed the tracking was way out, guess they just put new tyres on without checking the tracking
I know what you mean about pick up day, i'm already excited and am bound to miss something.
when you say - check spare is a match - do you mean just the sizes etc and not the brand.
Hopefully it will have been serviced but i will check - speaking to them again tomorrow.

Tracking or Alignment is a big cost at a dealer. Ensure you are happy with it as it can be upwards of £160 to do
