Im having problems with the drivers side windscreen wiper it appears to be travelling too far and getting trapped under the passenger side is there a quick fix or is it a dealer job

It sounds as though is coming loose and moving round on the splines. Before it gets too bad and wears the splines out, you need to reposition it and tighten the nut sufficient enough for the hardened splined spindles to cut into the arm holder. Thumbs Up

This happened on mine the other night, and then it got worse on the journey home and the drivers side failed totally - had LR Assist out (well The AA - none of the Disco drivers could attend). They turned up within 30 mins, fixed it in 5, and the job was a good 'un.

a case of using the windscreen wipers to clear the windscreen of overnight/built-up snow rather than using a brush me thinks Whistle

Yep, Also got the t-shirt. Problem seems to occur when you jump in hit the go button and forget that the wipers are on auto and before you remeber to turn them off they are working their stocks of and ping, slipped spline. Tightened up and so far so good.

Think it may be a fault, had one replaced in the summer drivers side, did it after I had washed the car and no snow, Looks like I might need it doing again, did exactly the same last night on way home in very very heavey rain

I was driving back in heavy rain the other day and my wipers started going a bit haywire and eventually the driver's side started skipping.. had to keep on using the washer jets to make the windscreen slippery..

took to the dealer's and they adjusted the tension of the wiper arms. there is supposedly technical bulletin on it.. it has been two days since I got it adjusted and the problem seems to be gone =)

I have the same problem with the drivers side wipper, intermtant failure to work, over and under wipping,so will leave off the auto mode and try a self fix/tighten over the weekend.
This is the 1st and only problem I have had since delivery in Sept 10.
