I've noticed that some dealers are using the VAT change to hike up 2nd hand prices - I've seen a '59 Disco 4 HSE just shoot up from £47,200 to £49,685 overnight - that's a 5.3% rise. You can bet a main dealer is organised enough to be registered for the VAT margin scheme too, making that change mostly profit!
Anyone else noticed if this is a one-off or a trend across all LR dealers?

More likely to be an opportunistic adjustment for supply & demand of D4s; V.A.T. rate doesn't change until Tuesday. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

price fixing again, watch the others do the same over this comin week
all the supermarkets did the same within a few days of one another some 3 weeks before the duty went up in Oct, they did the same last year and everytime there was a duty increase - up by more than the duty hike 3 weeks before it was implemented whcih then meant they could add the duty hike on top of that
