Hey DG.... I had you down as being more informed than that.
Yes, yes.... Everything north of Watford is a one horse town with one street, one house (mud hut) and a solitary banjo player sat outside on a rocking chair.
We actualy like certain people to think like that because it keeps them away and means that those 'single streets' aren't too congested

Ignoring the Wales comment - I see you have taste after all....
Kenmore has featured in many good events in my life.........and one nightmare from which I'm yet to recover......
That's where I met Mrs JMC!!!

I wonder if I would know them....? I was almost a resident of the village for about 20 years during holidays and week-ends. It isn't the same now since Duncan closed the camp-site to occaisional visitors and the Boars-Head has become respectable

Yeh the campsite's no more ...'The Courtyard' Bar \ restaurant is a refreshing change though and a development company now owns 95% of the village since the McTaggarts sold the castle.
It's all a changing There were new houses being built on the Kenmore Club side of the bridge. My Sis-in-law only moved there recently after living in nearby Fearnan. Do you know Francis and Ian who own the post office? My niece worked for them up until recently. My nephew works on the castle golf course as a greenkeeper.
I used to have a few wee drams in the Fortingall, the Coeshiville (when it was open) and the Crags.....ah wish I was there now 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Never been in the Fortingall (too usy looking at "the tree"), but spent many a good time in the Coshieshieville. Really shocked about the Coshie being closed last time I passed. Knew David & Shenac in the Tigh an loan (Fearnan) Hotel but that's gone now too. A friend of mine from the RRS forum's mother lives in Fearnan.
Nice to find a kindred spirit so far south of the border
