I saw an HSE last night on AT, too late to call straight away,
Mileage 44k
55 Plate
Private Sale
£18500
Couldn't believe my luck, just what I''ve been looking for, looked again this morning and it's gone!!
Advert is not there any more It must have only gone on yesterday as it wasn't there on Monday!
Gutted, did anyone else see this or was I dreaming??
Mart.

A few LR dealers have offered to buy my car (same model, less mileage) in a private sale as I've not px'ed it and even though they have only offered me a trade price it is a good bit higher than that price. In fact one of them has just rung me and when I said I wanted to sell it privately, he said that they would get back to me as they might be able to give me a better price
I hope you find one soon 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold
1999 Discovery 2 TD5 ES Rioja Red, sold
2002 Discovery 2 TD5 ES Buckingham Blue, sold
2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Adriatic Blue, sold
2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver, sold
2011 Discovery 4 SDV6 HSE Nara Bronze, sold
2016 Volvo XC60 D5 AWD Lux Nav Twilight Bronze, sold
2020 Range Rover Evoque P250 First Edition, Nolita grey, sold
2023 Range Rover Evoque P300e Autobiography, Carpathian grey

It was an exceptional price, snoozed and lost!
Hopefully with March approaching there will be a few more D3's on the market from those fortunate enough to get a D4.
But in the mean time if anyone's thinking of upgrading to a D4 and they want a good home for their D3, get in touch...
Mart.

Makes me sick when I remember how muchlittle I got for my 54 reg HSE with 128k on the clock, back in March 09 I got 9k for it against a 6mnth old HSE demo.
Was at the depths of the recession though, when everyone thought they would be out of work, bleeding and dying, and the world was going bankrupt.

I know what you mean Gareth, the 2nd hand values really dipped a year or so ago - one of the reasons I kept hold of mine for bit longer. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

quite a few going the BCA with that spec and age........
23 in total over the next week or so and more being added
CAP (car auction price) puts a 2006/06 HSE in black with 36k warranted mileage , service done sept 10 @ 34k, £19950 clean, 2005/05 with 62k miles it put it at around £17300 so dont get me wroung seems these 04/05 high spec low mileage ones are around however the best bargains are to be had with high mileage, high spec d3's, example would be 04/54 with 75k on the clock at £10,300 and even less in Glasses guide
So if yer about to p/x a high spec, high milege D3 against a D4, get the stealer to quote on CAP guide, not Glasses (as they often do) as the stealer is making £500 quid just for sending it to auction

Prices have definately crept up. I was at BCA today, saw a clean D3 HSE Black 06/06 36k, went for £21800, guide was around 19-20k dependent on condition.

Bought by a priavte buyer, with buyers fees etc on top could have bought one with a LR Approved warranty (see my post above ) being sold by Carcraft aka Car Group along with a shed load of 06/56 stock due to lack of interest
BCA Camberley yields the best return for sellers, one of the highest sale prices within the BCA group

When I was in the dealer the other day I was chatting to a salesman and he told me that they are looking for used d3's as the demand for d3's has gone crazy due to the snow.
He even said that they was looking in the autotrader etc & buying any decent ones they see. d4 HSE in Corris Grey with Black options pack
D3 with the following
Alive Tuning EGR blanking kit
Alive Tuning Re-map
Alive Atrics console
Samco intercooler hoses (from Alive Tuning)
Alive Tuning De-Cat pipe, lovely tone!
Retrofit OEM Hybrid TV tuner
