Hi Discotres,
You sound like you would have complained when they invented the starter motor
Damned gadgets who needs them.

Maybe we should have a poll to see who would like to bring back Diptheria, Smallpox, Child labour, Slavery, no votes for women and outside loos.
Give me all the good modern poncy gadgets I can get. They may well reduce the skill but they also reduce the risk. I used to tow Defenders on a trailer behind a D1 (to and from offroad competitions). One wet, windy and cold night returning from South Wales to Northumberland on the M6 the trailer started an awful sway. Whilst I did get it back in a stright line I very nearly didn't. And the sickening feeling is one I would not wish to repeat. Disco 4 TDV6HSE

I had sway started by a rutted road surface. My van was correctly loaded. It was just a simple case of a road forcing my van sideways. I saw it kick sideways in the mirror. I felt the D4 braking wheels and it was all good. It is a fantastic system. Discovery 4 SE Long range fuel tank Kaymar Rear Bar.
