Look at Superchips Bluefin cheaper but does not read the faultcodes unlike the BAS/faultmate unit.

Hi,
Can the BAS do the same fcr as the Faultmate FCR?So if I buy the BAS for the remapping,I can use the same hardware for FCR and sell the Faultmate?Do I understand correct?Which remap is the best, according to expierence in day to day use,as well as supplier support in case of problems?
Thanks

Seeing as you mentioned TT, I hope the commercial rules allow me to respond?
If not, I am sure a moderator will come along shortly and delete this
Frans, the beauty of the BAS, and a few other end-user OBD tuning devices is that you have control of the remap should your dealer overwrite it. Assuming you first returned the vehicle to standard tune before you take it into the dealer. If not, you have a slight problem because you would need to process the remap again, and some tuners would expect you to pay for this. I am not sure what Pete's deal is at BAS - perhaps he will pop by in a bit and confirm. I only have personal experience with Pete's BAS tuning for the Puma defender, and I can confirm it is brilliant. I reckon his TDV6 maps are probly OK too (OK, they are good, maybe even as good as TT?)
The TorqTune remap is applied by myself, and can be re-applied by myself if the need arises. Seeing as you are a bit remote, I can understand why the end-user device might be attractive.
That said, I have only 2 clients so far who have had maps overwritten. A very small percentage. And we resurrected the remap free of charge, even when the ECU software had been updated by LR and a "new" remap was required.
You can contact the TorqTune clients on this forum for feedback. I have a lot of smiley clients
I have sent you TorqTune pricing and reference contact details by PM.
Hope this helps?

Yes and you have internet be it at a inflated price? BAS maps is sent via email and loaded via interface to D3, as you know engine maps can know be loaded by Faultmate, so the question is realy who provides the best support 24/7, 365 days... A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2
MY09EGR's blanked Thanks Bellautos, BAS
