Brake lights

My drivers side brake light stops working now and again but with a tap its ok again Shocked before i look for the obvious loose /bad conection etc, anyone pinpoint the problem or had this before hoping its not water ingress or something like that Whistle

Not sure which car you've got, but although you expect bulbs that blow to stop working altogether, bulbs with filaments can go like this. Try changing the bulb. Could be an easy fix.

Hi,

If it is just the brake light filament and the side-light is ok, you could try swapping the bulb with the other sid-light bulb as that is also the same double filament bulb but is not (normally) wired up for the brake light.
