Was talking to a friend/supplier today about what vehicles people are using for 'overland' trips these days.
Our preferred vehicles for overland travel are 110's (sorry  ) either a 300 TDi or a TD4. We have also used our Disco 2 (TD5) for shorter trips.
So what vehicle do you use for your 'overland' travel and why do you like to use that particular vehicle? Also what sort of trips do you define as 'overland' trips.
I have used the expression 'overland' as it means different things to different people. For some people it might mean a weekend on green lanes in leafy Surrey with friends, others a 2/3 week tagalong tour to Morocco with a tour company, to others it would be a multi month solo vehicle trip across places like the Simpson desert.
