Exhaust/Catalytic Converter Temperature

My petrol V6 recently bent the LH exhaust pipe by hitting a rock. As a result, the exhaust gas has discharged onto the plastic bumper and has caused a sizeable area to melt Shocked

I'm not sure if there are many petrol LR3s on the list, but it may be a good time now that the grass is drying and the hot summer is here to recall that the cat. converter and the exhaust system in general runs at a very hight temperature and also is quite low-mounted - take care in long grass or spinafex, and keep a lookout behind you for smoke Whistle
