Today's Autocar magazine
There's an end of term report on their D4 HSE after a year and 27k miles. Excellent write up on it, negligible issues and fantastic residuals. I can't find the article on their website unfortunately.

Yes it's the 9th March issue - read mine in the county library yesterday when D4 was having it's first service. Another very interesting article in there comparing a new Kia Sportage versus used Freelander 2 - the used FL2 was deemed by far the better option.

The only autocar I could find was the New Zealand one for March 2011. I picked it up, cruised through it and quickly realized I wasted $7.00 Anyone care to scan the article?

They got the cost wrong for the Adaptive Lights and therefore the residual is higher than stated.Current:
2014 RRS 3.0 HSE
Porsche 997 GT3
BMW 118d SE
Past:
D4 HSE 3.0 TDV6 Auto
D3 HSE 2.7 TDV6 Auto

Re residuals, enjoy that while it lasts!! With fuel like this (£1.439 locally for DERV) and summer on the way (as I look out at a snowy garden) the market will come to it's senses and lead balloon depreciation will be back, like in the good old days!
My view, other views vary.

or better bet is for someone to buy a copy, photocopy and post it up on site.
That'll save us all a fortune ...
... and a trip to the supermarket!

I agree with you -and the residual stated at £44,000 already appears too optimistic anyway - based on retail prices in the mid-40's for similar aged cars on Land Rover's own website

Well, it's not happening yet.
I got a stonker of a trade in with my dealer.
Over 50% more than what I'd expected from them!

Afraid I don't have a scanner - but the conclusion of the Autocar article on the D4 reads as follows :
"Nothing ... obscures the brilliance of this unique vehicle, surely one of the finest all-rounders you can buy".
Disco 4 TDV6HSE
Defender 200TDi CSW
RR Evoque

Posting up a scanned copy of the article will be a gross copyright infringement and I would expect Autocar's publisher to jump all over the site owner for allowing it...
Just buy a copy if you want to read - it's only a few quid. Have had an Autocar sub for 10+ years - the best weekly car mag out there.747_JK

I wasn't actually serious about getting it photocopied and posted on site.
