Hi,
Due to pick my new D4 GS on xmas eve, decided to get rid of the D3 i have had from new for 18 months (been into dealers 7 times with suspension, EPB, XYZ sensor and various faults).
When running it was great - have (hopefully) put it down to being a friday car and that the new D4 will be ok.
Wondering if anyone could help on a few queries about D4 GS spec (LR site not exactly clear).
Should have asked dealer at time and have thought more about options (only put leather on it)- but ordered it on phone at spur of moment
a) Are wheel arches colour coded
b) Is there aux socket for ipod
c) Assume all models now are SDV6
d) any typicals on mpg (currently get 29mpg on the 2.7 manual)
Cheers for any help
PS expecting sob story regarding delivery from dealer later in week and no xmas car for me !

Good choice
Answers:
a: Wheel arches all colour coded.
b: Aux socket behind the centre console - gives really good sound from the ipod.
c: Think all new deliveries are now SDV6, but can't be certain
d: Average MPG is around the 30 mark, and I don't drive exactly gently all the time
Enjoy, owned a manual D3 before this and the new engine transforms it from being very good to brilliant. 2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux
1x D3, 4 D4's - All gone

Cheers for the reply.
Good to hear the new engine makes a big difference - was hoping it would.

That's good to hear!!! I put in my order on Saturday, changing from my manual D3 GS to a specced up D4 GS and wasn't really sure if the auto was as good in snow as the manual has been. Hoping for delivery in March.

Go for the Bright pack as well, fog lights, footwell lights, auto headlights and wipers, things that make the car feel that bit more special. New engine is fantastic in the snow coupled with the autobox, as long as you remember it is still a 2.6T vehicle when braking it goes like a dream 2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux

I must agree with the bright pack! I have it on mine and it transforms the front end! You also get the auto mirror and headlights! My D3 Looked bland without fogs up front!
