This is the same engine as used in the Ford explorer here is Oz.....affectionately known as the Ford 'Exploder'

I'd love to know the story of how that ended up here. The seller appears to be an up-market scrappie. Must have come from a D3 destined for Canada or somewhere else that gets the petrol V6. Maybe it was 'dropped' from the transporter twixt factory and shipping port. No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!
