Just logged onto GTR and found a new link ... |
|
... to View Owner Info ... How long has that been there?
It takes you to a section of GTR that has owners manuals, accessory fitting instructions, etc as PDF's and best of all it's FREE.
You need to sign up again - I used the same user ID as my paid GTR account - and they email you a password (which you can't change).
Enjoy....

I don't understand one thing...
When I logged myself into GTR, it was free and there were no manuals whatsoever about the Disco 3... Am I missing something ? Maybe it comes from the fact that I was trying to find french speaking manuals.
But maybe I am simply trying out the wrong website...

This page ONLY works for Internet Explorer. It does not wirk in Mozilla etc (the pics of the cars on the left does not come up). I am not impressed with Land Rover's IT expertise!

Even more ridiculous: As the original poster pointed out, the login is not tha same as that for the main site, and another password to remember (I won't, not a chance, so it will mean 10 different registrations!) and
- You HAVE to live in the UK or the United States - only two choices.
- The site uses popups to read the PDF's - IE/SP2 disables popups by default now, so all you see is nothing unless you manually unblock this site.
- Some of these manuals consists of parts, so to download those manuals you have tot popup and save 8 different PDF's.
Close, but no cigar... LR show the hallmarks of an English IT shop (with apologies - just meaning "not quit eup to standard') combined with an inefficient large organisation run by committees - which is a shame as the idea is so good!

PS the reason I react strongly to IT incompetencies like this has something to do with my daily job as Chief Technology Officer for an IT company. In my professional life I see things like this and laugh about them!

Hurray !
That adress worked for me ! It is as another Poster said quite a "mouthful" to use, and I even had to authorize popup in Safari to use it, but it works !
I am downloading the data that is of interest to me right now...

I have problems too with the GTR site unless I spoof Safari into thinking its Explorer.
Must write to LR and ask them to support internet standards NOT Microsoft's internet standards. this way ANY browser will work correctly with the site not just MSIE.
The whole world does not revolve around Uncle Bill and his non-standard standards. I've met more Mac users who drive LR3 / D3 than PC users.
Sorry to rant and go waaay off topic on the IT stuff
Mike... by the way. Which company do you work for ? drop me an email. Be interested to find out.
