Insurance after extended warranty expires

I have a 2005 V8 with 97,000 km on the clock. I have an Allianz Extended Warrany Insurance Policy which expires in August. I contacted Allianz about extending this further but they do not offer a further extention to the Extended Warranty. Is there any similar type insurance that I can take out to cover any major mechanical/electrical failures?

All of the extended warranties that i looked at when I took out mine had the condition of the policy being taken out while the vehicle was still under the manufacturers warranty.

Companies like CGU and Allianz do offer Machinery breakdown insurance, but my quick search of the net looks like this is an extension to a comprehensive insurance policy and in relation to business/farm machinery.

There might be a way you could take out one of these policies. Google Machinery Breakdown Insurance and see where that leads. 2012 MY13 SDV6 SE D4 Ipanema Sand with Almond leather
