Hi All
I have a 54 plate discovery 3 2.7 tdv6 and need to replace bothe egr valves as the blanking method has caused too higher fuel flow...
Can any one give me an idea as to how to replace them as my mechanic has had look and says its a big job and part of the manifold has to come off and also part of the injector system to get to one of the screws that holds the egr valves on
Any advice/ideas would be great.... I have new valves from landrover ready to fit.....

Did you just blank the valves or remove the 'butterfly' valve as well?

Carried out the full blanking kit including removing the butterfly valve,,
This problem has been going on for months... fuel consumption was immediately increased as soon as the blanking kit was installed,, the car has been on 2 diagnostic machines neither of which are showing any faults everything has been looked at right down to tyre pressures, its also had a full service, the only thing that changed was the blanking kit, hence I need to refit the egr valves.... I know of other people that have seen fuel consumption increases from previous posts ive done ... Ive lost on average 5mpg so I guess some vehicles just dont like being blanked !!!
