Any recommended 285/35/22 reasonably priced tyres? |
|
I'm after so reasonably priced 285 35 22 tyres and is there any out there you would recommend?
I'm swaying towards the Achilles Deserthawk that another member suggested and its 112 rating although they are hard to get hold of and although they are a budget tyre I have heard good comments regarding there value for money, also with the higher rating of 112 I feel these might be the best option for me with regards to any insurance issues?
Are there any other tyres out there you guys could recommend?, and should I be concerned with going for a 106 rated tyre instead?
I know I should spend a bit more and get a better quality tyre but my budget for all the modifications I'm doing is going down rapidly!
Many thanks,
Damian

I drive underrated tyres myself as well.
Talk to any tire specialist and they will tell you that you can run a 106 without any issues. At least thats what several told me.
However you might want to talk to your insurance (or mot??) if you are covered when you run those tyres..... CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS

As Renton says i too have underated tyres i have 285/35/22 106w Toyo Proxes on in the summer ,and i think they are fantastic tyre ,no tramlining, good wear and certainly feels more sure footed than the 255/55/19 pirelli that i put on for winter but you must inform your insurance company
