Quick set up and off out for a drive - gotta say very impressive for the price . Would concur that it holds rock steady and gives a good image on playback
One happy chap !!!!!!

Thats what i thought when I saw the footage, if you view the footage on the board of a black view camera you can't tell any difference...

I am thinking of fitting a Sat Nav screen to my car and then connect the camera up to that so I can view it on there, and I might get another one and use that as a rear view and connect it to the screen via the video inputs on the sat nav screen.

Mine arrived today, just in time for a trip down to the midlands tomorrow.
Must say, picture is very good quality even on 640x480 setting. Bought a 4GB card for it, but will upgrade that to a 32GB card as soon as.
Overall, very impressed

Had mine a couple of weeks now, its excellent, i need to get a bigger SD card but i am impressed with how it works when plugged into aux socket it automatically starts and stops with the ignition, the only thing i need to do is somehow wire an ignition fed socket up near the interior light above the mirror to avoid having the power cable dangling

A large capacity SD card is the way to go - got a 16GB class 10 card arriving today hopefully which should give the capacity to run for 12 hours before it loops back to the beginning and starts overwriting earlier recordings. It also appears to draw little from the D3 battery if left on all the time even overnight for some 8-10 hours. With the higher capacity card should be able to keep it operating 24/7 from a constant live feed and cover a sufficient time span for most situations.
Nearly had my first payback since install couple of days back when I came back to discover someone had dinked my rear O/S door , bay next to me empty - checked back the footage and sure enough got the culprit arriving and parking next to me then coming back to drive her car away 10 mins later , lets driver door hit mine then - you hear it happening shows car pulling away but because i have the camera too low down on the screen did not catch the registration plate - however I got your face and your car grandma so off to crimewatch to track you down ......
Recommend this to anyone TBH

Has anyone got any photos with camera fitted to windscreen? and do you have to have the screen down for it to record?

I have mine mounted next to the rear view mirror and thee screen makes no difference to recording you can have it up or down.

I like this idea Simon. Just ordered one of these and wondered where's the best place to get the constant live feed from? (ideally up near the rear view mirror)

Cheers Flack i was looking at the other photos from that site of the camera and I was wondering if the mount folds up smaller than in the photo (2). I mean to take up less room and can't be seen easy from outside.

Regarding the constant live got to look into this myself tomorrow ............i intend to mount it in same position as Flack tbh unless i come up with an alternative idea.
The mount can be used in a couple of orientations but personally i would say if its presence is noticeable then its not a bad thing if it stops someone having a go at the vehicle ..

I can get 1 hours worth of recording on a 4GB card at the lowest resolution of 640x480 before it loops back and start overwriting.
How will you get 12 hours from a 16GB card or am I missing something here
