That's about par for the course.
To get cheaper, try your luck in finding a new key fob on eBay, a local to cut the blade to match your existing one and then someone with IDS/AutoLogic/FaultMate who'll pair the fob to your car.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

I got a spare fob off eBay for about £70 from an actual dealer.(Lookers I think)
They asked for registration number or vin, I cant remember and cut the key blade. Then local Stratstones quoted £60 odd to program it but ended up charging £17?!

I have been quoted $350 for mine, however the key cut and programming will be free.

Got mine off ebay for about £70. You will need a new key as they cannot be swapped to another vehicle. GS Wakefield have an ebay shop, worth looking or give them a call.
