Map Finder
Just browsing around and having a look at the amount of folk who have updated the location were they live.
Being of a non-trusting nature this stikes me as odd. Openly advertising where an expensive vehicle is stored down to street level and in our profiles what colour, spec and through posts what extras we have.
Making it a bit easy for the steal to order brigade?? Who use the interweb as their source of information....who doesn't nowadays.
I have seen this on other websites which have been removed after a couple of incidents, although not attributed directly to it, makes you wonder....no??

Understandable - Lothian, is that an "L" postcode? no that would be LIVERPOOL. Quick all change locations.
Before we have an uproar - that was a joke!

disco, obviously the subject matter has eluded you. I'm not talking about location on your user name, but the Members Map feature.
Although i tip my hat to you sir' using secret as your location means you will never be found.....

Why my location is no longer here... nor my IM WWW or EMAIL... too many nutters and scrotts around.
Some users here are also too ready to use ones personal information to attempt to sign up to nefarious web sites of which content I will not name nor user blame.
The forum used to be a relatively 'safe' place to be... no longer I fear.

Put mine as the local fire station. Although it's a retained station, they are prob there more than the local cop shop!

If you're lucky you might find mine at my Members Map location - but not very often, and secured in a hotel car park (under the hotel) - this is a fair point, the Members Map is cool but does have its risksSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Well in my neighbourhood the baddies would have a lovely choice of coulours and specs if they wanted to come "shopping". After we bought ours it looks like the whole neighbourhood went the LR way.
That said, you have a point, but I think we are more in danger of being spammed if we let on our personal info.

Just a general note - there's no obligation whatsoever to fill this information in. It is purely for interest and to see at a glance the spread of D3 owners around the world
If you don't feel comfortable giving your exact location then do consider using a nearby town or similar to give a 'rough' guide as to where you are
