Engine seal on pre-2008 D3s?
I've just put my car back into the breakers who fitted my replacement engine and mentioned that there were some items from the engine bay missing - notably the deflector under the bonnet and seal around the engine bay (I was given a list by a LR dealership). The breakers then told me that the D3 didn't have an engine seal prior to 2008 and therefore they wont be providing it. Is this correct??? Seems really odd to me.
Do other owners of a pre-2008 D3 have the seal? I know it's only a cheap part but I would like to know the answer for my own sanity more than anything else.

My 2006MY D3 has a rubber seal around the engine bay if that is what you are referring to?

My 05 has this seal. just been out checkin. my friend with an 08 has it too. my neighbor with a D4 has it and hees neighbor has a rrs 07 has this seal too. I do not think the breakers knows what they are talkin about or they are to lazy gettin one and fit.
