Ordered D4- but which colour?? |
|
Hi folks,
HSE on order- planned delivery end may
Stornoway with almond/ arabica interior.
Now wondering about Baltic Blue- trouble is hard to come by any decent photos.
Anyone have any opinions or pics? Wonder if it is a nightmare when dirty.. Would plan to keep light interior as bit bored with black and it shows the dirt easily.
Options picked -
Heated steering wheel
Full size spare
Hybrid tv
Adaptive xenons
Privacy Glass
Would have liked rear aircon like my D3 but even got as far as calling Gayden- no go- something to do with weight limits- sounds baloney to me..!
Bit rich paying extra for mats and iPod cable when spending £50k+ but there you go..

Look in my Gallery chap. Plenty of Bali Blue photos there...
look under:
- D4 Whitecliff March 2010, and
- Tunisia 2010 LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

That looks very like my D4 order, I went for Batic Blue and it should be here on the 5th of May, Lifteddisco has a photo of his Baltic Blue D4 Commercial in this thread http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic61819-30.html

Thanks for the advice and links. Dark colours do seem to flatter the car which is why santorini black is popular I suppose. I think I'm inclined to go for the Baltic blue. MrH, yours looks the Biz, but a bit too blue for my taste, if that makes any sense!
Anybody have any views on stornoway grey?

My wife had insisted on Galway or Baltic, then we saw a Stornaway in a carpark and she said it was stunning. I think it's one of the better options if you want an ebony interior.

OK time to fess up...
I originally ordered mine in Stornoway (which the MD then referred to as being 'primer' coloured...) and was quite happy with this until I had a long term demonstrator in Stornoway and when I popped into the local dealer to sort the Fun Prevention Officer's F2, there was a D4 in Baltic Blue...
Stunning!
Spec change...
All I can say is that it is a fabulous colour - really sparkles in the sun (!) and is not too difficult to keep clean.
As has been mentioned, a few photos in my gallery. D4 Commercial - 65 Plate, 2016MY
D5 Commercial - Handed back when I left that job…
D4 Commercial (2014MY) - gone
D4 Commercial SDV6 - Baltic Blue (also gone)
D1 300TDi... 2" lift, HD bumpers (both), detachable tow hitch, 9,500lb winch, 235/85/16 muds and plenty of other toys (gone to make way for the next toy...)
Smiles per Mile - Tornado Motorsports caged Evo 3... 100" Defender look-alike, with Range Rover running gear - all fully IVA'd and registered!

You might need to check what colours are still available - there was a post this morning on the Evoque forum saying that many colours are discontinued due to the aftermath of the Japanese earthquake/tsunami... IIRC Bali Blue was a casualty (ditto Stornoway Grey)
