After deep discussion with SWMBO last night we have decided to upgrade to a D4 MY2012.
However having never purchased a vehicle of this value before I'm understandably nervous.
What's the best way to approach this in order to get the best deal. Discounts etc.
Anyone recommend any dealers North Manchester area, going to Williams Manchester tomorrow afternoon.
I'm looking for an XS and will be trading the D3 + cash to make the purchase.
Any advice appreciated.

Got mine from Williams and good chaps. Currently sat there now having a new compressor fitted and always found the servicing good too so I'll continue to use. Also heard bury one is good.

Cheers Rob, I will be dropping in on them tomorrow afternoon, I just don't want to end up buying and then someone posts up oh you should have asked for this or you should have done that.
Just trying to be forearmed so to speak. I realise there's more leeway when buying used but not having bought brand new I don't want to be going in looking like a k  bhead

I,ve dealt with Williams a couple of times and always found them really good,,, and they will negotiate on servicing and quote match... I can recommend them,
I did use Stratstones but it was a couple of years ago, there servicing was more expensive than Williams and the trade in value was poor If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

Had my D4 XS for 3 weeks now, came from Stratsone Bury and can't fault them - Chris kept me informed all the way through the process and they even managed to beat my finance deal and match the broker quote I had
We tried Williams in Manchester and they could not have been less interested in dealing with us,
Seems to be mixed reviews on all dealers - so I suppose you takes your chance

Cheers, had that response at Perry's Huddersfield when looking for the D3. I had to check for my reflection in the showroom window, thought I'd become invisible.
So even in this dire economy there are still some that can't be @rsed about a sale.

Well just got back from dealers. Found them very helpful and said if I ordered I could take delivery in Sept for a D4 MY2012 XS.
Overall very helpful and answered all my questions however I was really disappointed at trade in value.
They had a similar model to mine on forecourt, same year same mileage (well there's had about 600 more than mine. There's had cloth and mines leather and they offered me 7grand below what they were asking for on forecourt.
I don't mind anyone making a butty but they aren't having a 3 course meal.

Shop around ..i was offered 8 grand more px than the first place i tryed  G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
