Front lower wishbones
Hi Does anyone know roughly how much the front lower wishbones are.
I have PM'd TLO but it is Friday evening so thought i would ask here also.
And is it an easy job to do yourself/do you need to do a re-alignment?

around the £250 mark for the pair. yes, needs to have a 4 wheel alignment afterwards.
the ease of it depends on how corroded the bolts are. they either unbolt easily to need to be cut off with explosives !!!
took my mechanic 5 hours in total.. had to use a gas torch to cut them off.Duncan

Edit:-Was a bit miffed that it passed its MOT today even although the front end is banging and cluncking like a good'un.
Would dodgy from bushes cause wheel wobble under braking?

The wobble and the knock could be the inner steering rack ends, and track rod ends. Just had mine done as it knocked and was abit wayward with the steering/braking.
Then had the alignment done. Now its like a new car.D3 V8 SE AUTO

Brian,
Had mine done a couple of years ago. Had all the bushes changed plus the ball joints.
Yes they had to angle grind the bolts off and then 'aquire' them off the line at Solihull as they were on back order. So check you can get hold of some.
Had the alignment done afterwards, and as scooby said, like a new car when all done!!

The bolt on my 2005 G4 were hammered out with an air driven hammer thingy.
Don't use an air wrench, you will break the bond between the inner metal part and the rubber so you still have to hammer or cut it out.
The problem is the steel bolt is fit in an alu bush without some grease. Roel

whilst its all in pieces check the track rods and the ARB drop arms . mine weere all loose and needed replacing.
