Rosen Z10 roof mount DVD player

Well I have finally finished fitting my Rosen DVD player in the D3 this afternoon and I have to say I am impressed with the end result.
I had headrest screens in the RRS but the roof mount has much bigger 10" monitor which is ideal for my lad.

Thanks to the Woodman tip ( http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic475.html )I also managed to get the front screen to show what was on the DVD Bow down

My next step is to fit the PS3 in the car to keep my lad happy.

I have put a few pictures in my gallery for those interested.

Did you run into any problems while fitting it? I'm going to do the same so i would appreciate any hints Smile
I think i won't have to cut or otherwise damage anything in the car in order to fit it?

It was really straight forward but I made a metal bracket to ease fitting, the main reason for this is the roof support lat is horizontal but you need to mount the unit at an angle so you cant simply fix it up......no big drama I guess....not sure if you would have the same problem on D3's without a glass roof.
The wiring was also straight forward, I found a switched positive in the headlining (cant remember if I used the sunroof or not), I then led a wire from the rear nearside corner for my non-switched positive.
While I was at it I ran a tripple phono lead (red/white&yellow) to the same place for my X-box and a separate yellow phono lead to the front of the car for my sat-nav screen.

My lad loves it to bits and its a great piece of kit for our regular long journeys to our caravan at the coast.

Sounds easy enough, i hope.. Smile
We're going for a caravan tour to Denmark in 2 weeks so i was thinking this could be a nice thing to have for the kids dureing the trip.

By switched positive do you mean a lead that is not always on (controlled by the car interior lightning)?
Also, how did you run those cables, did you have to remove the headlining?

Yeah sorry, could not remember my words, switched as in ignition controlled power, rather than a direct battery power.

I had to remove the pillar trim behind the rear seats which was easy and genty tugged the headlining down a little (held up with pop-in clips) to allow me to run the wire, I think I removed the grab handles too to allow it to drop a little.
