3lt oil leak

Hi ..Help Question
Got a D4 3lt that is leaking oil, drips off the starter motor at the bellhousing end.
Slight leak, but enough to run back along guard (sheild) and spray out on to cross member Big Cry
Any one been down this path already, Bow down cars done 30000km.
Dealer tried oil filter seal, still leaking. Whistle

Cheers Ken

I had exactly the same issue turned out to be an incorrect fitting pipe on one of the turbos. The dealer fixed it while I waited and to date has dropped no more oil.

Clip on mine was loose on oil reclaim pipe (?) on top of crankcase - leak visible when plastic engine cover off - dealer fixed while I waited - touch wood - OK since

Well no such luck,
dealer thinks leak is from main crank seal, not good,
wonder why it would start to leak after 30,000km ,could only think bearing stuffed

Progress....

real technology here...when the oil level drops to a point that it triggesr an alarm on the dash
to make you aware you have low oil level...at least its before the oil pressure light comes on !
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Well not from rear seal, but from a "bolt that goes thru ladder and into block", and then oil running on top off sump lip and dripping off starter motor.
Still not fixed because dealer has to check with LR Aust who has to check with LR UK, check what I don't know. what a fiasco
