Hi Guys Took my Disco into a LR dealer the other day whom told me the turbo was shot, on that note the next day I did an 9hr drive no white or black smoke no power loss and great speeds on motor way.

Today took the car for it MOT and passed, mentioned to mech that I had been told the turbo had gone however emmissions are low smoke test results 1.29, zero drift 0.00 fast pass 1.29.

I have had a problem with the car over this last couple of weeks and was told it maybe the Biometric sensor or some other sensor to do with the turbo.

I did try the map sensor and cleaned it up, fitted a new fuel filter and RH egr valve but am still getting a limp mode after starting the car at 2000 rpm and just under 40 mph, this happens about 4 to 5 times then the cars OK

Any thoughts as to what the problem could be are most appriceated.

thanks Dunny1

Is it still coming up with a turbo fault?

It could be the actuator sticking overnight, then when it has been moved a few times, that is just enough to free it off for the day.

FWIW. there is an engine managment download available which 'excercises' the actuator through its complete range of travel every time the car is started or switched off. Thumbs Up Worth a shot before commiting to a turbo

Do they have a barometric pressure sensor to compensate for atmospheric pressure?

i did spell it incorrectly it,s Barometric pressure sensor and that was what i was trying to fined out. However there seems to be a lot of info on the Map sensor and this also reads as a barometric sensor according to what I have picked up and is this little sensors function in life.

Thanks Dunny1

Biometric sensors are fitted to most passenger seats, they auto calibrate and are very sensitive to changes in the pressure within the sphincter. Feedback is to a transducer fitted to the driver's seat, and driving controls Depending on the terrain mode selected.....

Oh, you've heard about the D5 then - not going to have terrain response switch - all done by the Biometric sensors Thumbs Up
