Hello all Disco fans !
I just wanted to share my experience of driving this summer.
For all those waiting for their car ... you made the rignht choice ...
My Car is a Disco 4 SDV6 HSE deliverd 1st october 2010 .
We travelled in august from Bordeaux (south west of France) to Cassis, close to Marseille, (south of France)
The trip is not vey long, 1300 km approx (one way and return). but my Disco 4 was used for what it was made for :
5 persons (adults and adults like teenagers ...) the dog, a roof case (Thule 450 liters) and
towing our inflatable boat (Bombard 5,30 meters with 80 hp Outboard engine : total weight around
700 kgs ).
I wanted to say how safe and secure you feel, even with the car fully loaded like that. The confort is still
great, silence, handling ... The Disco is a real good big car !
Consumption is not low with such a load but the security and confort has no price ...
I did around 14,3 liters/ 100 km (20 mpg).
I use my car for work (30000 km /year) and my average consumption is 25 mpg with 1/3 motorways and 2/3
roads. My very best was 29 mpg but anyway never the consumption mentioned by Land Rover And the trip computer
always lie between 1 and 1,5 liters/100 ... All my figures are given further to a real calculation, full tank to full tank .
Never mind I am ready to accept it seeing all the incredible qualities of the Disco 4.

Hi Diony
Totally agree with your comments _ I towed a caravan down to near you in the Perigord Noir for the last two summers which was a return journey of over 1500 miles and the car was absolutey awesome in doing so. My fuel computer is also rather optimistic.
