I have an Expedition Trailer on the back so a bike carrier is out of the question.
I do have x4 genuine part roof bars that came with the disco but as something that I could just pop the two bikes on top would be ideal.
My only concerns are the Heavy steel construction compared to the Ally racks and the fact that I have extended roof rails that run along the top... this was one of the reasons I sold the Gen part roof rack before, it just sat on the top too high and didn't fit flush.
Thanks.

The powder coated heavy duty steel construction would be an issue lugging it around but you get what you pay for I guess. Considerably cheaper than a Front runner/Patriot.... Thanks for the link. Any other thoughts welcome.

It really would be just a couple of bikes and for a bit of year round additional styling/Warn xp light mounting.
I liked the encased fabrication like on the Hannibal Roof rack I had on the Defender. I have an old Disco 2 roof rack that has plenty of Aluminium bars that have been removed. Something could be easily made up.
I've found that the Oztent fits diagonally on the inside of the Disco so that's where it'll be transported.
Just came across them tonight and was wondering what people thought.

I have one:

I like it lots and it has 4X Mounting points for Spot Lamps and a Spare Wheel Hub (albeit too small) but it does weigh a bit but no more than the G4 Rack.
I got it because of its function/looks and I wanted a half rack leaving the sunroof at the front free.

Thanks for the feedback. The rack does look smart on your Discovery for a 'cheapish' steel roof rack.
Thanks for taking time to link your pictures.
A fair few LR's in the Disco's reflection Great looking D3 too

Do you notice much wind noise intrusion/body roll with the weight? The only other rack I'd look at is a front runner Wind Cheetah for the weight, aerodynamics seen here: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic12020.html
Cheers

There is a bit of wind noise but that covered by the noise from the STT's
I have not noticed any effect on handling. 35kg spread over 6 fixings means the weight is absorbed easily and is no more than a smallish child in the back. It still corners flat even with the rack and raised suspension....
Anybody wants one PM me and I can send a link to a seller at half the normal price.....(Where I got mine)
