Any peeps from Berlin out there?

What’s that in English? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Here ya go, don’t have my original text so this is google translate of my google translate.
This might be a silly question, but if I get a timed BVG ticket (probably 7 days), can I use it on the D-Bahn Regio trains? I've searched the web for the past hour and found many hits suggesting it's possible, but nothing definitive. Would be useful if you want to go to Potsdam and the regional trains take half as long as the S-Bahn.

That would be great, thanks.
From previous time in Berlin we never had to show our pass but want to remain totally street legal. My limited German isn’t up to a philosophical debate on the morals of tickets with a Berlin ticket checker dude.

It's been said that Del was a little different from the other 16 year olds in his class at school in 1979.
Glad you pointed that out, Brian, otherwise he'd have upset me again pointing out he's younger than me !
Although I will question O-levels in '79.
Hadn't they been replaced by CSE's by then?
It's chiefly a blur that far back in time. .

O' levels and CSE's ran concurrently at that time - a CSE was supposedly equivalent to a Grace C O' level, but in reality rarely wasCurrently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Sorry for the delay but he wasn't back until yesterday... reply was..
"it is possible to use the Regio, however they need to make sure the ticket includes the zone to Potsdam (the destination) and not only Berlin city centre."
