Jet Tent or Khyam?
We are looking for a family tent, so just looking for some advice. Been researching for a while, and happy to pay the extra for the Jet Tent, but is it worth it?
I will want to use it throughout the winter in Scotland and we plan on travelling through Europe next year, so it will get plenty of use.
Cheers

Looking at the both tents I would be worried about the strength in a snow storm.
Have you looked at the lavo type tents from Helsport, bergans, tentippi.
They are fairly quick to set up, and are strong.

I would go for tentipi as well ! As above with wood burner if using in Scotland in winter,
For a family tent I would look at the outwell range of tents ! I have the bear lake 6 it's fantastic !
But I wouldn't use it in winter especially North of the border ?

I'm slightly concerned that Ray needs a ladder to get in it!
I hope you're not as bad with a ladder as Ent is when he's had a beer or 12.D3 HSE MY05 Auto

For what it's worth I bought a Khyam Harewood for the summer. I wasn't convinced by the easy set up and it's certainly heavy and bulky. i sent it back and am looking at other options.
The tent in my photo is an Vanranger Camp and do use it a lot just used it this last week end in the howling winds very pleasant and nice and warm used it up Ki elder last Jan in minus 10 /11 lovely and next week end up Ki elder to love the roof tents have 2 of them but this is something else Home of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication ray@rld-tech.co.uk D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

Many thanks for the information, had a look last night and really impressed with the Tipi tent. I had a look at the Vanranger Camp at Tamarack Outdoors and this would be great.
Thanks again for the info, the wifes not keen on camping because she's always cold......but not anymore
Cheers
