Replacing door indicator housing

When I collected my D4, unfortunately I did not notice until 4 months later that the passenger door indicator had a crack in it - obviously too late for it to be replaced by the dealer. Steve Smith kindly supplied me with a replacement set. Now the confusing part, the old and the new part look identical yet the new unit will not lock into the door properly - the slightest touch and it pops out again Confused I have tried the new units on the drivers door and they lock into the door perfectly.

Was down at the dealers yesterday and they couldn't fit the new unit either, there must be something slightly different on the passenger door as the new unit fits the drivers door fine and the original drivers door one will not fit the passenger door either.

The spring clip will not stay engaged when you push the unit home on the passenger door - will just have to keep altering the spring clip until it fits properly.

success at last Very Happy

swapped the retaining clip from the old unit to the new one and it worked first time - clips looked identical but it must have been slightly altered by LR to fit properly.
