Dog cage for tool security
Hi has anyone used the cargo barrier and cargo divider to secure tools in boot ,does it work and is it secure .I carry quite a bit of expensive testing equipment in the boot and need to secure it ,thanks ,Mick

Thats kind of what I had in mind ,thinking of the security glass on the rear as well ,if they want it they will get it but it will stop opportunity thieves .
Is it the standard cargo divider .

Can't think for a second it would deter anyone other than by its looks. The lock is crap (it isn't a lock) and the door could easily be removed from its hinges. Plus, it unscrews very quickly. I suppose you could adapt it, and bolt it in, use a chain, etc, but you still have a window open on the side. As you say, you could use a 3M security film to prevent someone breaking the glass, or rather to prevent them being able to get in through an otherwise smashed window. It's very effective indeed, but don't use it on the door windows.PAGODA

I use a standard full height LR cargo barrier / dog grill with Superglass on the three rear windows to help slow down potential thieves. It's much safer now you can properly dead lock all the doors on the D4. The Superglass works particularly well on top of factory privacy glass so that it's much harder to see if you're carrying anything. Bottom line is that if anyone is really determined they'll get in somehow, or even take the whole vehicle, but no point making it easy.
