My new Discovery 4 TDV6 HSE Commercial
Hi Land Rover friends,
Relatively new on the forum I want to share my new Discovery 4 HSE Commercial with you.
This car replaced a 2013 Defender and before that a RR SDV8.
It is Nara Bronze, black interior.
Tuned to 300 bhp and 740nm of torque. (Rica tuning of The Netherlands)
Topspeed so far achieved = 212 km/h!
Just fitted 22" Rinspeed wheels with 275/40R22 Continentals.
Thanks to 4x4TYRES.CO.UK who gave great service by sending them to my home address in The Netherlands!
No Rubbing! Just it little less comfortable than the standard 255/55R19's

It has got the Black Pack as they call it overhere.
Black mirror and airvents, black logo's.
Funny detail, on the registration papers the make is:

In The Netherlands we do the following:
Any new Discovery 4 can be converted to a commercial vehicle.
For instance my car is a 5 seater HSE model. Just remove the back seats and make a permanent division behind the front seats with a window in it. Then remove the rear side windows on both sides an replace them with blanked out bodywork. This will save the so called BPM tax (on this car 38.000 euro).
So you will have a two seater Discovery for almost half the price of a 5/7 seater...
Crazy system of the customs........ But let us benefit!
Also you pay lower road tax, because it it a commercial vehicle.

Not a lot of dealers will convert one over here, we have to get a 3rd party company to do it.

I have just got my new xs and love it. I do miss some back seats though. The rules are so grey not sure what the best move forward is, however I'm loving late 2 seater sports car

We have a similar system over here, difference is the rear seats. Our D3 still has the rear seats in the back but has a 2 part metal divider behind the rear seats which is genuine LR. It has a glass window in it with a grill. We don't have the rear windows either just the blanking panels. This allows it to be classed as a van and it has cheaper tax as well. I have noticed looking at some newer D4's lately that the government have wised up to the fact that people are using these as normal cars and i have seem quite a few without the centre rear seat, even though i saw a new D4 commercial last night for sale that did have the 5 seats.2015 D4 HSE LUX Kaikoura Stone(sold)
