It will, but then again the 500ma one does as well, just slower and says not charging (even though it does). Tbh your better off with an eBay 2.1amp version for iPad to charge it quicker for not much more. Bodsys Brake Bible

I note adverts mentions "cirarette lighter socket" so I'd like confirmation from someoue who has got one that they also fit the non-cigarette lighter power sockets filted to Discoverys.
