Not sure if simply freezing the temp sensor by packing with freezer packs, ice cubes, environmentally unfriendly freezer spray, etc would work or whether you would have to park it in a refrigeration unit to get multiple sensors down to temp.
Where is the temp sensor? I'll drag my Test & Evaluation brain out of deep storage and give it a go Club missing my D3

Mine has never worked since I have owned the car. I got the Webasto software & made up a lead.
I can drive the thing from the laptop, it will fire up occasionally, but it has always come up with an "overheat" warning & shut itself down.
I really want to get it working for this winter.
Any ideas?
I can hear the recirc pump whirring, but have not taken it off yet to double check that it is working.
Could be a faulty overheat sensor I suppose.

Mine did that. On mine, it was the smaller of the two fuel pumps that was blocked - the fuel delivery was only a dribble so it wouldn't burst into life Club missing my D3
