Expensive call from dealer |
|
The finance on my now 23.5 month old D4 is up at the end of the month, and dealer got a cancelled order on an MY12 in the same spec as mine at just the right (wrong?!) moment... They were obviously keen to shift it in this quarter and this was reflected in px - roll on the end of the month!

It's an XS, Galway green with black leather. Current one is black with almond which we like a lot, so I borrowed their MY11 demonstrator in the same colour scheme overnight for approval. Girls stood around at school looking straight through me, so it's totally different to them, but acceptable; MrsR got in on Saturday morning and asked how long we'd had the no-smoking sign on the dash, completely failing to spot the interior had changed colour, so I don't think her view counts
Price wise, no movement on list, but 33k on p/x which I thought was pretty good - it's got over 30k on it and the tyres won't last the winter. Looking at LR Approved, I don't reckon they'll get it on the forecourt for more than 36, and that after it's had all the dings and scrapes taken out of it. You've seen the crow damage on the bonnet, there's also a scratch in one door that'll need spraying. WBAC offered 28 and that assumed A1 condition

Martin,
Thats a really good pX price. I was only offered £30000, for my 2 yr old HSE with New tyres and in excellent condition otherwise.
Therefore I'm gonna sell mine privately etc.
I like the colour combo too
Cheers

What do you think of the Galway? I've just ordered an Orkney, but much as I like it, there are so many around that I'm really toying with changing my order to Galway. D4 XS MY12 Galway

Being colour blind I'm not the best person to ask, but it looks OK to me
I've seen a few grey D3s and D4s around and they look good when clean, but I wonder how long that lasts. The silver D3 I had started to look very 'flat' even when it was not obviously that dirty - the current black one doesn't suffer in the same way, and the demonstrator I drove last week in the green looked pretty good despite being far from clean

You may have seen my other posts that started the debate on Galway Green following the dealer's failure to change my order to Orkney Grey. After some negotiation and a few "goodies" I decided to accept the Galway. Best mistake the dealer ever made!! I have had two Stornoways and now I think and Orkney would have been a grey too far! I love the Galway Green (with black interior). It looks really classy and is one of a few colours that I consider to be a Landrover colour. Some just don't look right. I know it's a personal thing but I am so glad I ended up with Galway! D4 HSE MY2015
