5 Days and Counting
Have been a long time 'lurker' but have finally made the jump and am picking up a Nara Bronze HSE this friday. Jumping from an E92 M3, so a big difference in performance and handling, but an equally big difference with respect to comfort and practicality.
Looking forward to the increased fuel efficiency !
Not looking forward to telling the wife I have done it....

welcome to the dark side
nice colour,
wheels look very light, are they whiter than normal?
is it in access mode in the photo as it looks low?
is it an oil burner?
am I asking too many questions?
when I changed from a passat to the D4 my wife only noticed that it has an armrest and you had to climb in.
so she may not notice It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

I've just done exactly the same. (Except I got out of a D1 and into a D4 ) Been lurking on here for years but picked up the D4 on Friday. It is amazing and you won't regret it.
Can't wait for the snow later this month!
Have fun!

Wheels are normal, just catching the sun I assume, yes it was in access mode and yes, its a 3.0 TDV6. I have to say, very impressed with the engine....much smoother than the 3.0 lump in the wifes Beemer.
Not sure flowers will cut it... then again, she kind of lost interest when I raised the topic of swapping out of the car (had the M3 less than a year) so I am pretty sure that meant 'go for it darling, you deserve it'
Had 'performance cars' for many years, but just came back to the UK a year ago after 5 years abroad (living in cities, so no cars). Picked up two kids and more grey hair on the way, and have had to acknowledge that I have undergone something of a lifestyle change.... A few too many tip runs and squeezing child seats in the M3 got me thinking it was time to change
